This page is dedicated to my passion for hiking, climbing and trail building in southwestern British Columbia. I enjoy the simplicity of hiking through the forest as much as climbing high on an icy ridge. My red gaiters and white long johns have been my trademark since I began to climb (as you can see in the pictures). In the B.C. Mountaineering Club, I met many of my closest friends while teaching beginning mountaineering courses. Working at an outdoor store helped to build connections and accumulate gear. Composing and climbing are both time consuming activities. Whichever I am doing, I feel guilty about neglecting the other.
There are two photo galleries on this site that can be viewed using the drop down menu above.
The following video was made by one of my trip participants on a B.C.M.C. Club Trip that I led in 2015 to build/refurbish a trail in the Squamish area of B.C.
